Nanook of the North

Posted : 14 years, 7 months ago on 8 August 2009 05:05 (A review of Nanook of the North)

Excellent docu-movie about life in the deep north. Considering the date of this movie it is quite amazing. Real great look at ethnicity.

Great movie about the problems that homosexuals had to face in the England of early 1960s, when it was illegal and punishable to be so.

The British TV series of all times. What a fantastic analysis of England's classes in the early 20th century!

What an incredible adventure. The footage alone is just fantastic. Really put all my travels in perspective. Retracing the footsteps of MArco Polo in parts of the world that are just of no access to foreigners is just a feat. A must see for anyone who has the slightest interest in other cultures

Not too bad for a 1970 treatment of the subject of race relations in high school and society in general

Interesting but strange documentary narrated by Ronald Reagan about an expert archer killing or fishing swordfish with bows! Do not miss the slow motion fish attack. Quite impressive i must say.

Very tragic lives are exposed in this movie. Great look at the fate of Albanians who live illegally in a poor section of Athens.
